  1. India finds a gem:

Way back in 1983, team India travelled to Antigua for the 5th Test match in the series against West Indies which the home side led 2-0 going into this game.

India were not able to get the better of their opposition in the last 4 tests and decided to bring in a mysterious spinner in Laxman Sivaramakrishnan. The wily leg-spinner had a good start to the game with 17 runs to his name in the first innings coming in to bat at number 10. However, he was not able to pick even a single wicket up and only cemented his place in the national side two years later after a breakthrough series against England.

With this debut, Siva became the youngest non-Pakistani player to play test cricket at a time at 17 years and 118 days.
