DDCA earns a profit of 6.81 Crores from second ODI
Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) has earned a massive profit of 6.81 crores from the second ODI of the series which was played at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on October 20, “DDCA earned Rs 6.81 crore from the ODI match. 30,000 people watched the game. Earnings from ticket sales are Rs 3.09 crore, one of the highest in the history of DDCA,” senior vice president Chetan Chauhan told PTI.
However, he also added that the state board is yet to make a list of expenditure made but yes he is hopeful that the board has earned a profit “But we are sure to make profits after expenditure report is prepared,” added Chauhan.
The match might have brought good news for Delhi but it was a bitter experience for the Indian team as they lost a close game by a margin of just 6 runs. The Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya failed to do the finishing act for the Indian team, thus the hosts lost the match by a mere margin of just 6 runs.
However, the mystery of the game kept the fans tied to their seats till the last over of the game.
The stadium was a full house as there was hardly any vacant seat on the ground. This scene brought a smile on the face of DDCA administrators as these types of seen are hardly seen in Delhi. Overall the ODI was a great success, a sporting pitch added to the fun of the people.
