There is absolutely no denying that Shubman Gill has become the latest heartthrob from Indian cricket. The youngster from Punjab has not only won over fans with his stunning exploits on the cricket field but has also become very popular among the ladies because of his looks.
The 23-year old is fast becoming one of the most popular young celebrities in the country. And recently an example of that very popularity was seen when a girl went viral for her ‘Tinder’ wish. The incident took place earlier this week when India were up against New Zealand in the third and final T20I in Ahmedabad on February 1.
Shubman Gill was the star of the show as he smashed his maiden T20I ton to power India to a series-clinching win. The right-handed batsman scored an unbeaten 126 from just 63 balls with the help of 12 fours and 7 sixes.
Thanks to his stunning knock, India posted a mammoth total of 234 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs. The bowlers then put up a stunning show too and bowled out the Black Caps for a paltry total of 66 to fire the hosts to a record 168-run win.
Following the game, Shubman Gill became the talk of the town not only because of his performance but also because of the viral girl’s request. A lovestruck girl decided to make her feelings for Shubman Gill clear and went viral on internet.
While supporting India from the stands, she decided to wave around a poster asking to be the batsman to be her Tinder match. In a photo that quickly caught the viral wind on Twitter, the female fan is seen holding up a placard with the request, “Tinder Shubman se match karado”.
Shubman Gill reacts:
Shubman Gill has finally reacted to the girl’s wish. The India batting sensation, on Saturday (February 4), took to his social media accounts to post a video in response to the girl’s viral post.
While the video was an advertisement for Tinder India, it has become popular among the fans. Shubman Gill posted the video with the caption: “Dekh to liya, ab tum dekho theek se (I have seen it, now you see it properly).”
