Delhi’s Shivam Singh Scores Double Century In T20 Game

After Mohit Ahlawat’s sensational knock of 300 in a T20 game, another Delhi lad has made headlines with a whirlwind knock in the shortest format of the game.
Shivam Singh has caused quite a stir after smashing double ton in a T20 game in a local tournament on February 19. Playing for Gemstar Rockets in the JB Sports Mix Corporate Cricket Tournament at Bandhwari, Shivam scored 210 off 71 balls. The amazing knock was studded with 18 fours and 19 maximums.
Riding on his brilliant double ton, Gemstar Rockets posted a mammoth 274/3 in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, United XI were bundled out for a paltry 109 in the 15th over.
Meanwhile, the right-handed batsman rued the fact that his knock came too late as he would have made it to the IPL auction if he had played the innings around a week ago. Ahlawat had received an offer from Delhi Daredevils after the triple-century and Shivam felt that his knock would have also put him in the mix for the IPL auction which took place on February 20, a day after the batsman scored the double century.
Speaking to Sportswallah, Shivam said:
“I was waiting for a knock like this and I am really happy to have scored a double ton.”
