Axar Patel got Karthik out caught by substitute fielder Shreevats Goswami. He played an innings of 126, not to just rescue his team from a troublesome situation but also to lead a strong base of a score of 303. Never in the innings, he tried to control himself as he played his strokes throughout, which was evident by the fact that his innings of 128 came in just 91 deliveries comprising of 14 fours and three sixes.
