It’s almost impossible to believe that MS Dhoni loses his cool. The man who has led a cricket crazy nation like India for almost a decade has been rarely seen showing his anger or emotions on the field and so it’s not surprising to hear that Sushant Singh Rajput was utterly baffled when he saw Dhoni angry for the very first time.
The Bollywood actor is playing the role of the Indian captain in the upcoming movie ‘MS Dhoni- The Untold Story’. The trailer of the movie was launched yesterday and has been garnering praise all over the country.
Sushant Singh Rajput has done a commendable job in the movie and one can say that he had to work really hard to play his part.
Talking to the journalists during an event, Sushant said that he continuously asked Dhoni questions in order to get into the skin of the character. While his queries were well received by Dhoni at first, the Indian skipper soon started to get irritated.
Recalling those phases, Sushant said: “For the first time I have seen Dhoni losing his cool. First two to three days I asked him some questions and he answered them calmly. Then he said you ask a lot of questions let me come back. I was just asking him one question in different ways again and again.”
Adding to this Dhoni said: “He (Sushant) used to ask one question repeatedly and if he gets a similar answer then he used to believe that I am being honest and then he used to go to next question.”
“It was a bit awkward initially to speak about yourself. After 15 mins you get bored talking about yourself and I was like I need a break, I am going,” he added.
The biopic set to hit the theatres on September 30 traces the journey of the India’s most successful captain of all time, who fought against all the odds and crossed numerous hurdles to play for his country.
Expressing his excitement to do the movie,Sushant said, “It was more excitement than pressure. In 2007 after too much of hard work we clicked a picture with him. He is one person who seriously has enormous respect for everyone. I look up to him. To get an opportunity to know his inside story gave me a lot of excitement and not pressure.”
“There are films in your career which you do it with full honesty and you end up being a good actor but there are very rare films that you do and you end up being a good human being and this is one of them,” he concluded.
