Ashok Dinda who is called Naichanpur Express for his consistency in maintaining the sheer pace, once again destroyed Assam in their first innings in Bengal’s crucial Ranji Trophy away match at Guwahati by setting an unbelievable bowling average of capturing four wickets at the cost of only two runs in his two overs only!
Assam, in reply to Bengal’s 444 for six wickets declared, has lost four wickets already having scored only one run! And Bengal, shouldering on Dinda’s deadly spell, has already started dreaming of ensuring a berth in the quarterfinals by earning six points.
Dinda who has also created a record of capturing 300 wickets in the first class cricket, said from Guwahati over phone, “Thanks to my family and my fans who have continuously given extensive support to me for last 10 years. I have only believed in hard work and this will be my key weapon to earn success in the future also.”
Former fast bowlers of Bengal like Sagarmoy Sen Sharma, Barun Burman are ecstatic with Dinda’s brilliant bowling as they said that this might have been the best performance so far by a Bengal fast bowler in a Ranji Trophy match.
Even, Bengal captain Manoj Tiwari while speaking from Guwahati over phone on Wednesday said, “It was an amazing performance by Dinda. We all were getting thrilled to have watched Dinda’s fiery spell from the slip position. He was consistent in keeping all the deliveries on the good-length spot and that brought him success.”
