IPL 2017: Twitter Reacts As Disha Patani Steals The Show In The Opening Ceremony 1

Kings XI Punjab is all set to kick start their campaign against Rising Pune Supergiant in the 4th match of the IPL-10 at Indore.

As it has been happening since the start of the IPL-10, the season opener of Punjab franchise started off with a grand affair which saw Bollywood actress Disha Patani perform to popular numbers.

The Twitter went crazy the moment Disha appeared on the screen and expressed their love and desire to watch her perform without any inhibition on the social media platform.

Bollywood singer Harshdeep Kaur also graced the ceremony and received huge cheer on Twitter.

Indore will be Kings XI Punjab’s second home this season after Mohali. The side will be playing three games here including the today’s fixture. It will tough match today. The Rising Pune Supergiants, who are fresh from the spectacular win over Mumbai Indians, will offer great competition.

Today’s match will also see two Australians – Glenn Maxwell and Steve Smith – clashing against each other. While Smith is currently Australia’s skipper, Maxwell will be leading a side for the first time in his career which has seen him play 340 recognised matches across all the format.

He was picked for the role ahead of international captains such as Eoin Morgan and Darren Sammy and will be the tenth captain the side has appointed in its history.

The side would be really hoping to do well in the opening game and carry the momentum throughout the tournament after failing to qualify to the knockouts last season. The string of high-quality players have made an entry in the side apart from the likes of  Eoin Morgan, Darren Sammy. Ishant Sharma and domestic T20 prodigy T. Natarajan are a couple of exciting names in the team who are expected to be a part of the starting XI.

For Indore, the average score per match is a humble 144 runs and the highest total ever made at this venue in an IPL match is 168.  Teams batting first have won seven out of ten games here.
