Pakistan have been brutally trolled on social media by fans after recent reports suggested that they wanted a change in venue in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023.

The upcoming edition of the World Cup is scheduled to take in India and Pakistan are looking set to participate in the competition. Their participation in the competition looked doubtful a few days ago over the Asia Cup issue but they are now looking set to travel to India after the Asian Cricket Council accepted their hybrid model. As per the model, Pakistan will host 4 Asia Cup homes while the other 9 games will be played in Sri Lanka.

Pakistan, however, have reportedly expressed their concerns over the venue assigned to them and want them to be changed. As per reports in Pakistani media, the PCB is unhappy that Pakistan will have to play against a spin-heavy Afghanistan side on a spin-friendly track in Chennai.

Afghanistan boasts the likes of Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad and Mujeeb Ur Rahman in their ranks. These spinners have the ability to blow away any team on their team. And the conditions in Chennai will definitely suit them. The dry and low bounce conditions in Chennai have made it an ideal pitch for spinners over the years.

Unsurprisingly, Pakistan are not willing to play against Afghanistan in Chennai. They reportedly want the game to be shifted to Bengaluru where they are scheduled to play against 5-time champions Australia. And the PCB want the game against Australia to be played in Chennai. And as soon as the report emerged, fans have busy trolling Pakistan over the same.
