Drunk Praveen Kumar Beats His Neighbour and Pushes His Minor Son
In his cricket career, former Indian pacer Praveen Kumar had always been in the eyes of everyone because of his short temper. But it looks like nothing has changed after his retirement. Praveen’s neighbour has accused the former cricketer of beating him and his minor son.
He was the crucial member of the Indian team between 2009 and at the end of 2011. With the presence of Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra, Praveen strengthened the pace battery of the team. He was at the peak of his career in 2011 but was on the news because of his poor discipline. He has treated fans with disrespect during the Australia tour in 2012. He could not earn up the place in Indian national cricket team after 2012. Thus, he retired from all forms of cricket in 2018.
Neighbour complained against Praveen Kumar
The victim named Deepak Sharma has alleged that Praveen Kumar, who was drunk, thrashed him and pushed his seven-year-old son. The ex-cricketer is again in trouble because of his wrong move.
“Both of them are neighbours and they have informed the police about the incident. We are investigating the matter based on their statements. Further action will be taken accordingly. The medical process has also been done,” Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhilesh Narayan was quoted as saying by ANI.
Deepak further added that initially, the police was not ready to register the complaint. He was told to reach the high authorities as the case was related to international cricket. He said that he is now getting death threats after registering the complaint.
“I was waiting for my son at the bus stop at 3:00 pm. Kumar arrived at the spot, came out of his car and abused the bus driver first and later abused me. He was in an inebriated condition. Later, he thrashed me and fractured my hand,” said the victim.
“Kumar also pushed my son who has suffered injury in his back. Now the police are forcing me to compromise. Moreover, I have started receiving death threats,” he added.
