Team India pacer Ishant Sharma reached yet another milestone with the wicket of England skipper Joe Root in the morning session of day one of the fourth Test at Southampton.

Ishant Sharma completes his 250 Wickets in test cricket. He is the 7th Indian bowler to achieve this feat and only the third fast bowler after Kapil Dev (434) and Zaheer Khan (311).
Furthermore, Ishant Sharma completes his 50 Test Wickets against England. He is the 7th bowler from India to reach the milestone.
The tall and lanky pacer is the second slowest ever to 250 wickets in terms of Tests played – 86 Only Jacques Kallis (121) have taken more Tests to the milestone. Among specialist bowlers, Daniel Vettori (81) is the next slowest to reach this feat.
