Australian spin legend Shane Warne feels India opener KL Rahul should not hold back against England fast bowler James Anderson in the upcoming two Test matches.

Meanwhile, Rahul has finally found some rhythm after struggling in the first two Tests. He got starts in both the essays at Trent Bridge which will boost his confidence.

Although James Anderson has been the significant threat to India, Shane Warne feels KL Rahul should try and take down Anderson.

Shane Warne to come out with autobiography 'No Spin' in October

The one thing I would love to see is KL Rahul going after James Anderson,” Warne said to TOI. “If I was part of the Indian management, I would like to tell Rahul to try and take Jimmy down. Jimmy is fantastic in these conditions and if he has his tail up, it’s difficult to deal with him. The better the bowler, the more aggressive you have to be,” he added.

Virat Kohli is currently the best batsmen

Shane Warne noted that it is too early to comment on the greatness of the India skipper. Kohli, meanwhile, has put behind his struggles in England to notch two hundred and two half-centuries so far in the series.

He is currently the highest-scorer among both the teams with 440 runs from three matches. Thus, comparisons with former greats are unavoidable, but Shane Warne believes this is too early to comment on it.

For me, [Brian] Lara and Sachin were the best of my times. For the best part of 23 years, we had [Jacques] Kallis, [Ricky] Ponting, [Rahul] Dravid, [Kumar] Sangakkara…all great players. And then we had two standouts, they were so much better, with no disrespect for the others.

It’s hard to judge the greatness of Virat now as he is still playing, but when I see him, I find he can go up there in the conversation involving Tendulkar and Lara. Is he the greatest ever? But at the present moment, India skipper is the best batsman who can play all formats,” Shane Warne concluded.

The fourth Test between host England and India starts on August 30 (Thursday) at Southampton.
