Former England skipper, Michael Vaughan has predicted the result of upcoming five-match Test series between England and India, starting August 1st. Vaughan believes England will win the series comfortably.
Michael Vaughan feels England will clinch the five-match series by a margin of 3-1.
In fact, England had won the previous series in their backyard by the same margin. However, India was able to take revenge, as they thrashed England by 4-0 in India.
An enthralling series is on the cards.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of buzz for the much-anticipated series of the year. There is no doubt that England will begin as favourites. However, the Virat Kohli’s men have shown the promise to do well in the overseas conditions.
India was able to win the T20I series by 2-1. Nevertheless, the hosts were able to bounce back, as they clinched the ODI series by the same margin. Thus, it would be interesting to note who will take the first right step in the long five-match series.
Both teams will like to put their noses in front. Furthermore, it would be interesting to note the conditions.
It is one of the hottest conditions in the England summer. Thus, the spinners can come into action.
Moreover, Michael Vaughan also predicted the leading wicket-taker for England. The former captain believes Stuart Broad will be the leading wicket-getter for the hosts while Joe Root is going to be the leading run-scorer.
On the other hand, Vaughan believes Ishant Sharma is going to be leading wicket-taker for India, whereas, Ajinkya Rahane will score the maximum runs for the visitors.
