The 18-year-old Prithvi Shaw has joined Team India ahead of the fourth Test match against England at Southampton starting from August 30 (Thursday).
Meanwhile, India bounced back in style and will look to level the five-match series at the Ageas Bowl. They beat hosts England by 203 runs after two early defeats at Lord’s and Edgbaston. Furthermore, they need to win or draw this Test to keep this series alive.

Shaw earned the debut Test call replacing Murali Vijay for the last two Test. The skipper of the U19 India team that lifted the trophy earlier this year got rewarded for his consistency. He has been scoring runs consistently in the first-class cricket ever since he made his debut.
Prithvi Shaw has scored 1418 runs in 14 first-class matches with an average of 56.72 including seven centuries.
He was one of the star performers along with Hanuma Vihari and Mayank Agarwal during India A’s recent tour of the UK.

Along with Prithvi Shaw, all-rounder Hanuma Vihari also earned his maiden Test call-up. Vihari, a member of the 2012 U-19 World Cup team, has been a consistent scorer in Ranji Trophy and has also done well for India A in recent times.
During the tour of UK, he scored 147 in a List A game against West Indies A. He also had a half-century in a four-day ‘Test’ against the same opponents. Furthermore, he also enjoys an average of almost 60 in 63 first-class games including 15 centuries.
Recently, he also scored 54 and 148 in the two ‘Tests’ against South Africa A side at home. Both Prithvi Shaw and Hanuma Vihari will look to make a make if they get an opportunity.
