The former India batsman Sachin Tendulkar reiterated weather in the United Kingdom (UK) will be a decisive factor in the upcoming Test series against between England and India scheduled to kick off from August 1.
Meanwhile, it has been warm and sunny in England which is unpleasant for the local people. However, it will be encouraging for Virat Kohli and his boys. However, such conditions will not make things tough for the visiting side.
The Master Blaster Tendulkar feels if the weather stays like this, it will be very beneficial for India. The spinners will come into play and the fast bowlers will not be that effective on such surfaces.
“It’s quite warm here. The weather’s going to be a critical factor (in the Test series). Surfaces will decide how active the spinners get if this weather stays,” Tendulkar told ToI.

Recently, the spinners played a major role in the white-ball series and are likely to play the same while donning the white jersey.
Given that the spinners get assistance from the deck, the spinners will decide the fate of the series in the longest format of gentleman’s game.
Sachin Tendulkar, meanwhile, is expecting Indian batsmen to tackle the spinners better. He also suggested players make a good start and don’t think about previous failures.
“The first basic rule (of an overseas tour): respect conditions. It’s the key. The first morning of the series, that first over, the first spell – that’s always the key. It was the same in South Africa, it’ll be the same in England,” he said.

“It’s all about drawing the balance. That’s the tricky thing. You’ve got to know when to fill your mind up with all that you’ve learnt from your previous tour here and then got to know how to keep it (your mind) blank when you’re here again, all fresh,” he concluded.
