Australian media took a jibe at Virat Kohli, as they uploaded a video in which Kohli struggled to get going on the previous England tour.
The Fox sports uploaded a video on their Facebook page in which Kohli was seen fishing at the outside of stump deliveries.
Fox Sports wrote the caption as,
“Kohli’s favourite shot in England”.
In fact, we all know if there is one chink in Virat Kohli’s armour then it is meddling with the wide off-stump balls. Therefore, Kohli had failed to leave a mark on previous England tour when he scored a paltry 134 runs in the ten innings.
Virat Kohli will like to prove his credentials in England.
However, there is no doubt that Virat Kohli is a completely different batsman as compared to the 2014 tour. In fact, Kohli is one of the best batsmen in the world. Therefore, the Indian skipper is going to be the cynosure of all eyes.
Virat Kohli has scored runs all over the world. Consequently, he will like to conquer England as well. Furthermore, Kohli is in good form with the bat, and he would want to get past his England’s hoodoo.
Therefore, the Indian skipper will like to deliver better performance with the bat.
Meanwhile, the right-hander was the lone warrior on the South African tour. Ergo, the other batsmen will like to provide support to their captain on this daddy English tour.
The India captain will want to be cautious in his approach in the initial stages of his innings. Thus, he can build the confidence which will be needed for a big inning.
India will begin their Test assignment when they take on England in five-match Test series. The first Test match will take place at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
