When it comes to swing bowling, there are only a few better than English fast bowler, James Anderson.

Anderson has made batsmen dance to his swing bowling for over a decade now; and on 8th September 2017, Anderson picked up his 500th wicket. He dismissed Kraig Braithwaite in the second innings of the third Test match between England and the West Indies and what better place to do it than the home of cricket at Lords!

Anderson became the seventh bowler in the history to pick up 500 wickets. Muttiah Muralitharan leads the pack with 800 wickets to his name.

His 501st wicket was an absolute beauty to dismiss Kieran Powell who was playing very well on 45 runs. Powell had no idea about a delivery which was almost unplayable. Anderson clean bowled Powell of a delivery bowled from around the stumps. Anderson, who could swing it both the ways, bowled one who went away from the left handed batsman and it hit the top of off stump and knocked just one bail off the stumps.

The bowled looked like coming into the batsman and Powell was playing for the same, but the ball just nipped away after pitching, giving Powell no chance of playing the ball.

West Indies finished at 93-3 with a lead of 22 runs by the end of Day 2.
