England spearhead bowler James Anderson may be rested for Bangladesh and India test matches

England spearhead bowler James Anderson may be rested for some test matches during the Bangladesh and India test series.

James Anderson has been named in the squad which will be going to Bangladesh. He is leading wicket taker for England with 463 wickets. The England team is scheduled to play two test matches.

After that, England will tour India for five match test series starting from 9th November. It will be a challenge for England team to play without their key bowler.

“It’s a tough one because as a player if you’re fit you want to play, simple as that, no matter what the format you’re desperate to play,” Anderson told reporters.

“But there may well come a time when it will get managed. At 34 I probably have to manage myself, be managed, quite well. You want, if possible, to play every test but India is going to be five back to back and that’s a huge ask for any bowler,” he added.

“There will probably come a point where we try to look and maybe I’ve got to sit out.”

With England going to the subcontinent and playing on tough conditions will be the main challenge. For the Bangladesh tour, the team will be captained by Cook while the ODI team will be captained by Jos Buttler.

James Anderson is one of their key bowler in test matches and sitting out in some of the test matches against Bangladesh and India will be a major blow for England.
