Rishabh Pant had a dream debut at the Test arena. Pant was able to hold on to seven catches as he set new annals in the game. Furthermore, Pant who is known for his pyrotechnics was able to show stomach for a fight with the bat as well.

Consequently, Pant has secured his place in the side for now. Subsequently, he would like to carry on with the momentum.

Indian team management will be sweating over the fitness of Ravichandran Ashwin. The talisman off-spinner had suffered a hip injury in the previous Test match at Trent Bridge.

Thus, Ravichandran Ashwin will be under the scrutiny. Indian think tank will hope that Ashwin clears the fitness test as he is handy with both bat, as well as the ball. If Ashwin fails to regain full fitness, Ravindra Jadeja will be in contention for India’s Predicted Playing XI.
