England will definitely miss the services of Ben Stokes.

However, the chances of Ben Stokes availability for the second Test match are slim.

On the other hand, Stokes was able to turn the tide in England’s favor on Day four of the first Test. The all-rounder was able to scalp four wickets in the second innings as he ran through the Indian lower order.

In fact, Stokes was also able to take out the big fish out as he plumbed Virat Kohli in front of the wickets with an inswinging delivery. Furthermore, Stokes was so emotional after the completion of the match that he was at the loss of words.

Joe Root also shed light on what Ben Stokes brings to the table. The England skipper went on to add that Stokes always likes to give more than 100% to the side.

“When he turns up to practice or as soon as he puts on an England shirt he’s so dedicated to this group of players and to this team. Whatever happens, going forward, he’s going to be a big part of this dressing room,” Root said.

Meanwhile, Chris Woakes who is recovering from the injury might fill in the big shoes of Ben Stokes for the second Test. If Woakes fails to recuperate on time, then Moeen Ali might make the cut for Lord’s Test. The second Test match between England vs India 2018 will begin on August 9, at home of cricket.
