England vs India 2018: Twitter Reacts as India Obliterates England to Make it 2-1
India obliterated England in the third Test match as they won by a gargantuan margin of 203 runs. Thus, India was able to bounce back in the five-match series to make it 2-1.
The tourists had their backs against the wall as they were 2-0 down. Thus, it was a fine performance from the visitors to keep breathing in the series.
India makes it 2-1.
Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli laid the pillars for a good first innings score of 329 runs. The right-handed pair put together a partnership of 159 runs. In fact, the Indian captain and his deputy played some delightful strokes in their innings. However, both the batsmen missed out on the well deserved centuries.
On the other hand, Hardik Pandya was the chief destroyer of the England first innings. Pandya got the ball in the right areas and put together a fine exhibition of outswing bowling. Thus, Pandya was able to answer his critics in style.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli scored his runs with ease in the second innings. Kohli could not score his hundred in the first innings. However, he did not let his chance go begging in the second innings.
In England’s second innings with the bat, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes were able to show some fight after the hosts lost four early wickets in the opening session.
Jasprit Bumrah bowled a magical spell as he took his second five-for to get back India into the contest. Bumrah was able to hit the right areas as he breathed down the neck of the England batsmen.
India was able to complete the formalities as they took the last wicket of James Anderson in the third over of the final day.
Here is how Twitter reacted to India’s thumping win in the second Test match:
Super comeback. Most worries sorted. India heads to two venues with a better spin v pace record. Well done, ??
Now, do the unthinkable of winning the series from 0-2 down. #EngvInd

Many congratulations to the Indian team on the victory at Trent Bridge. They showed a lot of character after being 2-0 down and am very happy with the way most of the batsmen applied themselves, and the bowlers were clinical too. Well deserved ! #ENGvIND

Two many players for the MOM candidate.
Virat Kohli for his 200 runs across two innings, Hardik Pandya's all-round effort and Jasprit Bumrah's five-for in his returning Test.
I guess it would be Hardik Pandya.#ENGvIND
