England vs India 2018: Twitter Trolls Michael Vaughan for his Optimistic Tweet
Former England skipper Michael Vaughan was trolled on Twitter after his optimistic tweet. Vaughan said England need to bat another six sessions to win the series. England is currently leading by 2-0 in the ongoing series.
However, the hosts have their backs against the wall in the ongoing third Test match. India has set up a huge target of 521 runs in front of the hosts. Thus, India is in a commanding position to make a comeback in the series.
Meanwhile, Michael Vaughan had predicted that England will win the series by a margin of 3-1.
England was able to win the first Test match by 31 runs while they dominated the second and won by an innings and 159 runs. Thus, England was able to put their noses in front.
However, it has been a different story in the third Test match. India had scored 329 runs in the first innings while England was skittled out for a paltry 161 runs. Thus, India was able to gain a lead of 168 runs. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane put together an alliance of 159 runs to give India an upper hand.
On the other hand, Hardik Pandya was able to produce a fine performance with the ball. Pandya scalped his maiden fifer in the red ball version as he got the perfect shape and moved the ball away from the batsmen.
It was a fine spell of bowling from the Indian all-rounder as he put India in the driving seat. Subsequently, Virat Kohli and Co added to England’s misery as they scored 352 runs in the second innings.
Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to share his thoughts.

Lol.. You are really very optimistic.
They won't even bat for 3 sessions tomorrow ?
— Ravan Reborn (@RavanReborn) August 20, 2018
@MichaelVaughan Are you seriously thinking about 6 sessions ????.
Root must have asked whole team to pad up from first session coz he doesn't want any player to get timeout.
