England vs Pakistan 2019: Imam-Ul-Haq Escapes A Massive Injury Scare

Imam Ul Haq has been rushed to the hospital after the hit on the Elbow region by the England fast bowler Mark Wood during the 4th ODI at Nottingham. However, the reports that came out shows that Imam escaped the injury and will be recovered in a quick time ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.

The incident happened during the 4th ODI of the match at Trentbridge. Imam-ul-Haq attempted to pull Mark Woods’s 89 mph delivery but missed it to get a blow on his left elbow.

All X-Rays are clear for Imam-Ul-Haq:

He immediately threw the bat away in pain and was later taken for scans. His injury could have been a serious blow to Pakistan with less than 15 days left for the World Cup to start.

The opener retired hurt from the game as Pakistan went on to lose the series-deciding encounter by 3 wickets. The Pakistan Cricket Board later provided an injury update on Twitter said that all x-rays are clear and the left-hander has some swelling on his left arm.

It would have been a massive blow for Pakistan if Imam-Ul-Haq suffered a major injury. He has been blistering for his side with the big tallies more often than not. Recently, he smashed a brilliant century against England side, however, he ended up on the losing side though.

In the 4th ODI clash, Babar Azam was the stand out performer for Pakistan with a stunning century. He was well supported by the rest of the batsmen to reach a massive tally of 340 runs on the board.

However, in reply to the chase, Jason Roy went bonkers in the middle. He knocked Pakistan bowlers to the fence more often than not with ease. Despite losing him in the middle, Ben Stokes and the rest of the batsmen saw England chasing down the target with three balls to spare to clinch the series 3-0.
