The England fast bowler, James Anderson who will be the must-have player for the team during the Ashes Trophy, suffered a knee injury during the county match. Though the injury isn’t that scary to rule him out for months, he is currently experiencing a lot of pain, as the ball hit on the flesh, which would be tough to handle for quite a few days.

Anderson had to leave the field after James Fuller’s drive hit him on the inside of his knee during Lancashire’s four-wicket defeat by champions Hampshire in a One-Day Cup semi-final on Sunday, reports BBC Sport.

It will settle down in a few days –

Speaking of the same, Chapple quoted that the ball stuck on the part of Knee, which is always tough to tolerate the pain. Further, he explained that a physio will attend James Anderson to get him to recover as quickly as possible.

“It is a nasty blow in a painful area,” said Chapple. We don’t know but we think that it will be a nasty bruise that will settle down in the next few days. The physio will see him in the morning and he walked off there.”

As Anderson no longer plays ODI cricket, the injury will have no bearing on England’s campaign in the upcoming World Cup beginning at the end of this month. Anderson can possibly be seen playing next for England when they take on Ireland in the four-day Test at Lord’s from July 24 before the Ashes series against Australia.

Recently, James Anderson broke the record to become the leading wicket-taker in the Test matches, as far as the fast bowlers are concerned. Recently, there were also the reports circulated in the media that he would be calling curtains on his career.

Well, those are just the reports, as James Anderson would love to have one more Ashes cap in his career. He still got the quality in his kitty, which would certainly help his side to make things fall in place.
