England’s  30 man preliminary squad has been announced on Saturday .The English Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed that Alastair Cook will be the captain during the World Cup. There has been no change in the policy as the England opener was chosen to lead the side by all other players who are currently playing in Sri Lanka. Ot’s of questions have been raised by the Former cricketers and the English commentators about the captaincy of Alastair Cook and also his form with the bat.

The major announcement is that Jonathaan Trott is not included in the 30 man probables. Among other members in the squad , two members are such who have not yet represented England .

The 30 man preliminary squad is as follows:

Alastair Cook (c),  Moeen Ali, , Joe Root,  Jonathan Bairstow, Luke Wright  Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Jack Brooks, Steven Finn, Harry Gurney, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Jos Buttler,  Craig Kieswetter, Eoin Morgan, Stephen Parry, Samit Patel, Liam Plunkett, James Anderson,  Boyd Rankin, Adil Rashid Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, James Taylor, James Tredwell, James Vince, Chris Woakes,

It has also been said that England will announce a 16 man squad for the Tri series which includes Australia and India. The 15 will likely be from those set of players who will play in the tri series.

The 15 man probables are:

Alastair Cook (c),  Moeen Ali, , Joe Root,  Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Alex Hales, Jos Buttler,  Eoin Morgan, James Anderson,  James Taylor, James Tredwell, Chris Woakes, Ben Stokes or Luke Wright.
