Eoin Morgan, Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) skipper is impressed with wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik’s remarkable catch, which dismissed Rajasthan Royals’ dependable all-rounder England’s Ben Stokes saying it was completely keeper’s wicket.
Dinesh Karthik caught a stunning one-handed diving catch behind the wickets to send Ben Stokes back to the pavilion in the third over, bowled by Pat Cummins which was the turning point in the match as Ben Stokes was the man in form after scoring a century and fifty in the previous two matches against Punjab and Mumbai while chasing.

KKR secured a brilliant 60-run win over Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Sunday to stay alive in the race for playoffs. Eoin Morgan played a remarkable unbeaten knock of 68 runs to help KKR post a challenging total of 191 runs on the board.
“DK’s catch was remarkable. When a guy takes a catch like that, it is completely his wicket, it has nothing to do with the bowling at all. It’s a keeper’s catch, keeper’s wicket,” Eoin Morgan told Cummins in a video posted by iplt20.com.
Pacer Pat Cummins then picked four wickets accounting for Robin Uthappa, Ben Stokes, Steven Smith and Riyan Parag as Rajasthan Royals only managed to score 131 from their 20 overs. Shivam Mavi too bowled well and conceded only 15 runs besides picking 2 wickets while spinner Varun Chakravarthy returned with figures of 2/20.

Eoin Morgan (418) is 2nd among KKR batsmen behind Shubman Gill(440) in a list headed by KL Rahul(670) as the maximum run-getters in IPL 2020. Although he has scored only one fifty, Eoin Morgan averages 41.8 in IPL 2020.
Reflecting on the team’s performance, Morgan said: “The guys came out and played well in a game where there were different circumstances involved that are completely uncontrollable. The guys came out and focused on exactly what they wanted to do. They played in a way we would have liked to play throughout the tournament. Glad that result went our way and whatever happens from here is completely out of our control.”
KKR currently hold the fourth spot on the table with 14 points with 7 wins and as many losses. Rajasthan Royals are now placed last, and Chennai, Rajasthan and Punjab are eliminated. Only Mumbai have qualified and four teams Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad are still in with a chance to secure a spot in playoffs.
