ToggleThe latest ICC T20I Rankings saw the most shuffling with Eoin Morgan, Tabraiz Shamsi and Temba Bavuma gaining places. In the wake of significant performances in the three-match T20I series between South Africa and England, Morgan and Shamsi broke into top 10 T20I Rankings for batsmen and bowlers respectively.
England skipper Morgan managed to garner as many as 136 runs from three innings at a healthy strike-rate of 170. In fact, he was the only batsman to chip in with two fifty-plus scores in the series.
Rightly so, the talismanic batsman edged past India captain Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to bag the ninth position owing to the MRF Tyres ICC T20I Batting Rankings.

Temba Bavuma gained the maximum points in T20I rankings for batsmen:
Quinton de Kock was the pick of the batsmen for South Africa as he scored 131 runs from three innings including one half-century and two thirties. South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman climbed 10 spots to occupy the 16th spot.
Meanwhile, Quinton de Kock’s partner-in-crime, Temba Bavuma showcased his mettle in the series by scoring 123 runs from three innings at a strike-rate of 153.75 and in the process, he climbed 127 spots to take the 52nd position in the rankings.

England’s Jonny Bairstow and South Africa’s Rassie Van der Dussen registered their career-best points in the rankings as they gained 15 and 21 spots to occupy the 23rd and 37th position respectively.
Dawid Malan might have slipped one position in the rankings but is still England’s best-ranked batsman as he is occupying the sixth position.
As far as the bowlers’ rankings are concerned, Tabraiz Shamsi brought out the best out of himself in the three-match series against England and broke into the top 10. He climbed up nine positions to take the eighth spot, while Adil Rashid had replaced Andile Phehlukwayo in the sixth place.
Tom Curran who had a good performance against South Africa in the T20I series rose 28 spots to break into the top 30. He claimed five wickets in the series. He hit the peak performance in the second game when he bowled last over and helped his side secure a two-run thriller win.
Dwaine Pretorius was the only notable gainer in the all-rounders’ rankings as he gained 39 spots to take the 46th place.
