ToggleEngland skipper Eoin Morgan counted the benefits after 10-over format gets introduced in the cricket. He said that it will be a shorter format and can become part of the Olympics, which is a multi-sport event.
The game of cricket is not included in the Olympics because it’s a lengthy sport that takes more than one month to get a final winner. Well Morgan, who led England to World Cup victory in 2019, has recommended the introduction of the 10-over format tournament which can be played within 10 days.
The 10-over format is appealing: Eoin Morgan

“The one thing that T10 offers above the three formats that makes it so appealing to an Olympic Games or a Commonwealth Games is the fact that you can play a whole tournament in the space of 10 days,” he said.
“To have a tournament in such a short space of time maximises the opportunity and the exposure that it will have for the sport.”
“When you can play a cricket tournament in eight-10 days it really does make it appealing, and on top of that it really would be extremely entertaining,” said.
Cricket was earlier part of Olympics:

Cricket featured for the first and last time in Olympics in 1900, and England were the winners in that edition. In 1998, cricket was also part of the commonwealth game but after that cricket game was not included in any multi-sport event.
Well, the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham will feature a women’s Twenty20 competition. So, there might be a possibility that cricket can again become part of the mega multi-sport event.
Eoin Morgan captained Kerala Kings in the first two editions of the T10 League and Delhi Bulls in the Abu Dhabi T10 2019. So, he has experience of playing the 10-over format game and has claimed that the players need to be quick to score runs.
