Team India managed to get back on track with the help of a brilliant knock from Dinesh Karthik on day one of the three-day warm-up game between Essex and India.
In the three-day practice game, India did not get off to an excellent start. The men in blue lost the opening batsman, Shikhar Dhawan on a collective score of one-run. The left-hand batsman scored the golden duck in the inning.
A brief sketch of Indian Inning
Cheteshwar Pujara who is known for his reliable and determination approach could not leave any traces for what he is known for.
He could only add a single run to run tally of India. Once again, it was Virat Kohli who proved to be a saviour for the Indian Team.

Virat Kohli led his team from the front, as he scored a brilliant half-century. Paul Walter helped Essex to get his wicket, as Varun Chopra caught him behind the wickets. The vice-captain of India, Ajinkya Rahane once again failed to capitalise his start, as he threw his wicket on 17 runs.
KL Rahul justified his selection in the Test team, as he and wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik kneeled down the bowlers of Essex. KL Rahul scored a superb knock of 58.
A splendid knock from Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik who was looking determinantal at the end of Day one could not continue the same. During the beginning of a procession of Day 2, Dinesh Karthik threw his wicket on the first ball.
Dinesh Karthik chased the first delivery of the over which was much more extensive and eventually lost his wicket. He tried to put pressure on Essex early on, however, things went in the different direction.

Paul Walter bowled a wider delivery and Karthik went for the chase, but the ball took the aerial route where Matt Dixon completed the rest formality.
The wicketkeeper-batsman of India scored a handy knock of 82 off 95 deliveries including 15 fours.
Here is the video of his dismissal:
