ESS vs IND 2018: Watch – James Foster Pulls off Stunner to Send Back Ajinkya Rahane

After a poor outing in the Indian Premier League as well as in the one-off Test against Afghanistan, Ajinkya Rahane had the chance to spend some much-needed time on the crease in the ongoing warm-up game against Essex.
However, his prolonged poor form extended by one more innings, as the right-handed batsman could score only 17 before making his way out of the ground in Chelmsford.
Ajinkya Rahane came to the crease when Cheteshwar Pujara fell in the third over. With Matthew Queen and Matt Cole bowling brilliantly, Rahane took ten balls to get off the mark. He then hit Aaron Beard for two fours to break the shackles. His unimpressive stay at the crease also involved a dropped catch in the slips.
However, the Mumbai star failed to capitalise on the reprieve and departed soon after James Foster took a brilliant diving catch behind the stumps.
Quinn bowled one on the middle and off stump, making Rahane come forward and present his bat. However, Rahane could only edge the ball behind the stumps where Foster dived to his right to take a good catch.
Here is a clip of that wicket:

Coming to the game, India finished the first session at 100 for three. Virat Kohli’s decision to bat first turned out to be a poor one, as India started the proceedings on a disastrous note.
Shikhar Dhawan departed on the very third ball of the match for a first-ball duck. Cheteshwar Pujara also could not make much of his county stint and went after scoring one. Murali Vijay and Rahane then stopped the rot before the latter fell when the score was 44.
Vijay and Kohli ensured India head into lunch without suffering any more setback.
