The rookie Indian test skipper Virat Kohli said he is looking forward to a good cricket at the tri-series also including England and the International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup 2015. Virat Kohli, who has been in menacing form in the recent Test series against Australia said change in formats would not change his mindset.
Virat said that the mindset does not change whether India are playing in One Day International or test matches. Every match is important for him when he is representing India. Virat Kohli added that he has enjoyed the challenge of playing in Australian climates, wickets, and have enjoyed the reactions from the crowds as well. It was a good Test series for India. Now he is anxiously looking forward to the tri-series and then the World Cup.
Virat was quoted saying: “Back to back World Cup wins will be a nice milestone for this young team. It will do nicely for the new colours that have been unveiled today. That’s what we are aiming for as a team, that’s what we want to achieve and we have the vision for it,” he added. On Wednesday The Indian team reached Melbourne and after enjoying a 5 day rest after the Test series, the players were back in practice. The day was used in warming up and getting some fielding drills after which the customary match of football ensued. While all other Indian cricketers selected for the tri-series and the International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup have joined the team, Ravindra Jadeja too is here. He did not field as such but did bowl warily, testing his shoulder. But it is too early to guess his estimated time of full recuperation. Meanwhile, the tri-series will be started in Sydney with Australia taking on England.
