The Pakistan cricketers are known to play cricket the hard way and never shies away from taking a dig at their oppositions verbally. Pakistan fast bowler Junaid Khan and opener Fakhar Zaman is no different, and the duo revealed about their frequent fist-fights during their childhood days when they used to play street cricket like any other young kids of a cricket frenzy nation like Pakistan.
Junaid Khan and Fakhar Zaman have both cemented their places in the national team especially in the limited overs format and are expected to retain their at least as of now after putting up impressive performances on a consistent basis. Fakhar Zaman played a pivotal role in helping Pakistan lift their maiden Champions Trophy title a few months ago when a sensational century against arch-rivals India helped Pakistan crush India by 180 runs.
Fakhar revealed that as a child he wasn’t aggressive but whenever they used to play some of them got themselves into fights and invariably Fakhar will join to support his teammates.
“I was not so much aggressive, but when we friends used to play together some of us get themselves involved into fights, Naturally, I would jump up to support my teammates,” said Fakhar. “I once broke someone’s nose, and got my head injured twice,” added Zaman.

Meanwhile, speedster Junaid Khan revealed that he along with friends of the locality used to get into fights with children from another colony. It was a typical sight for them as quarrels are part and parcel of street cricket. Meanwhile, both Fakhar and Junaid will be seen in action from January next year with Pakistan scheduled to tour New Zealand. The tour comprises of 5 ODI’s and 3 T20I’s.
Pakistan have been performing well in the last few months especially in the limited overs format and have also recently taken the numero uno status in the Latest T20I rankings for teams.
