India wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Aadhar card details got leaked when an Aadhar volunteer in a fanboy moment tweeted the details of Dhoni’s national identity. In that tweet, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was also tagged and was re-tweeted by the ministry’s account itself.
Cricketer’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni brought the matter into the notice of Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on the social media site.

When assured by her the information leaked includes their personal and private data, ministry gave her the nod that some serious action will be taken against the agency. Irony was that even Ravi Shankar liked that particular tweet, where Dhoni’s details were mentioned.
Later minister took charge of the matter, and blacklisted the Aadhar agency for the next 10 years. This news yet again opened up the debate about UIADIA’s personal information breach.
The former Indian captain will resume competitive cricket with Rising Pune Supergiant during the forthcoming season of IPL-10. Earlier this year, he was removed from the captaincy post and the baton was added over to Australian captain Steven Smith.
