Fans on Twitter laud Azhar Ali’s century

Led by a brilliant batting display, Pakistan are all over England in the third test at Birmingham. After losing opener Mohammad Hafeez for a duck, a fine partnership between Sami Aslam and number three batsman Azhar Ali put Pakistan in a commanding position. Ali, who until now on this tour was the target of criticism from a lot of people, responded in style as his chanceless century has changed the outlook of the game.

The 181 runs stand between Aslam and Ali was full of enterprising strokes and drives as the duo went on to consolidate the innings for Pakistan. Aslam looked all set for a ton before he was run out by James Vince on 82. As in the 73rd over, Pakistan are placed comfortably at 211-2 with Ali unbeaten at 108 and Younis Khan joining him on 7*.

Fans on Twitter lauded Ali for his ton, and below are some of the tweets.
