Tennis legend Roger Federer became the most valuable player beating golf course legend Tiger Woods. A recent study executed by London School of Marketing suggested that currently Federer is the most valuable player followed by Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
The report is based on their brand values, their present income from sponsorships, revenues and social media interactions.
“Roger is genuine, honest, simple and gives some of his time to members and foundation.” Tony Godsick, the CEO of team8,ATPWorldTour.com opined. he also suggested that these virtues make him the role model that the companies look for and this makes him the perfect chioce for sponsorships.
In the list of 20 players as published by LSM, there are 7 tennis players, which is maximum amongst all games. Current men’s world no.1 Novak Djokovic is at seventh spot whereas women’s world no.1 Serena Williams is at no. 20. On the other hand, it is Christiano Ronaldo who becomes the most valuable footballer leaving behind Leo Messi and Neymar, finding himself at no. 10. The only Indian and cricketer featured in the list is India’s ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
