While relying on the attacking cricket, Villani registered her century as she represented Team Gold of the intra-squad while facing Team Green at Marist College Ashgrove in Brisbane.
Before entering into the first 50-over fixtures, Villani admitted the fact by saying she has enjoyed the way she bats while donning the national colours of Southern Stars.
“It always has to be in my mindset,” Villani was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia.

Villani posted 126 off 110 balls, as her knock included 18 boundaries and a maximum.
The quality stroke-maker is looking forward to continuing her rich form under the interim leadership of Rachael Haynes.
Tipped as one of the best batters in the Australian line-up, Villani has aimed to carry her form into the eagerly-awaited and impending series to make her presence felt.
“I like to bat attackingly,” Villani added.

The 28-year-old Villani, who represented Victoria Women in the domestic fold, reiterated that she is aware of her role while adding the aggressive brand of cricket won’t yield results on a regular basis.
“I know it’s not going to come off every time but I also know that it’s my role within the team,” Villani maintained.
Showing the great will and determination, Villani remarked the hosts would be more aggressive on field – to produce their best against England Women, who recently won the coveted ICC World Cup title, in a nail-biting finish against Mithali Raj-led India.
“If I think any differently I get myself into some strife,” Villani further added.
However, Villani’s focus is to provide a decent start for the hosts in the series which has grabbed thousands of eyeballs across the globe.
Earlier, Australia was shown an exit door in the World Cup semi-final with regular skipper already down after undergoing shoulder surgery.

The Women’s Ashes will be beginning with the first of the three-match One-day international series at Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Sunday.
Seen as a valuable player, the middle-order batsman revealed to continue her aggressive approach with the bat.
The Ashes series is further comprised of a day-night Test which is scheduled for November 9-12 and the three Twenty20 internationals, as the series will culminate with the third T20 at Manuka Oval in Canberra on November.
Villani represented Australia Women in 42 T20 internationals followed by 28 ODIs and two Tests since making his return in 2009
