Yashasvi Jaiswal:
The ‘Player of the Tournament’ Yashasvi Jaiswal gathered the most number of runs in the event. In the whole tournament, he has given a good start to the team, leading them to victory.
In the finals, the youngster played maturely while the other saw wickets falling from time to time. But he could not continue his show for longer. The Mumbai lad scored 88 runs which led his run tally to 400 runs. Also, he became the second-highest scorer for India in the tournament after Shikhar Dhawan.
Besides his batting skill, Jaiswal is also a beneficial leg spinner. In the marquee clash, he picked the crucial wicket of the set batsman Parveez Hossain Emom.
Thus, he was the star performer in the ICC U19 World Cup 2020.
