Once a face of the Indian team, legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar is also a strong contender for the presidency post in BCCI. A renowned name across the cricketing fraternity, Gavaskar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. The 67-year-old will make into the contention list with his age helping him fall in the line of recommendations.

Having served as an interim president of BCCI in 2014, Sunil must be aware a thing or two about the functioning of the board. His stint on the top seat would benefit him if his name is suggested to lead BCCI in future.
