‘Where there is a will, there is a way’. Taking this phrase seriously, the cricketers mentioned in the below list played the game beyond the age limits defying all the odds. Generally, to play any sports age limit from 20 to 35 is set to build a career. However, some players have proved all the age barriers wrong and set a new record.

To be available to play beyond any age-limitation, the player needs to maintain their fitness level and strength. They have to put in extra effort to prove their worth for the team.

Here, in this article, we have mentioned five players for whom age was just a number:

Former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg burst into international scenes in the Test series against India in 1996 where he had an impressive outing. He was included in the squad as the replacement of Shane Warne. He played in seven ODIs and then was dropped from the team after Warne returned after recovering from injury.

After seven years of break from international cricket, he earned the recall from the national side only when Shane Warne was banned because he tested positive to a banned diuretic. He then became a constant feature in ODIs. He went on to represent Australia in 123 ODIs, 15 T20Is and 7 Tests. The chinaman picked 280 international wickets.

He listed his name on this list as he played till the age of 40. Post his retirement, he featured in several T20 leagues across the world.
