Jacques Kallis’ influence as a coach is known to everyone. He had played an imperative role for the Proteas during his heydays. The prolific all-rounder from South Africa had represented KKR as a batting consultant in 2015 before serving as a head coach.
Pertinently, KKR had done well in most of the seasons under Kallis’ tutelage.
He averaged 55.38 in 166 Tests to amass 13,289 runs. In 328 ODIs, he had garnered 11,579 runs to grace the game.
His wealth of experience will be fruitful for Team India if he happened to be India’s batting coach.
