Kevin Pietersen was one of the most talented, unorthodox, destructive and innovative English batsmen of our generation. One can witness talent, dedication, selective attacking during his innings, which made him one of the best cricketers from England. However, everything wasn’t the same for him from the board.

The board labelled him as the selfish batsman and just wasn’t a team player. After the sound thrashing in the Ashes series down under, Kevin was made the scapegoat. The English cricket establishment decided that KP was on his last legs, and thus expendable. So he was thrown out. In reality, it was not KP who was the cause of the disaster series. The timing of it was a disaster.

Besides that, he had issues with the skipper Andrew Strauss and the head coach Andy Flower. He last played in 2014 against Australia.
