Prithvi Shaw:
The aggressive opener is running out of luck, freak injuries have somewhat disrupted his career. He scored a century in the Test debut match against Australia in 2018. But then, he tripped on his ankle in the field which led to his ouster from the game. Followed it, he was slapped with an eight-month ban after failing a dope test. After passing many hurdles in his career, he returned back to make his bat talk. Against Baroda, he scored a double century in the Ranji match.
Unfortunately, he again picked a shoulder injury in the Ranji match against Karnataka. He went to NCA for the recovery and its good news that he will be part of warm-up matches against New Zealand. Many former cricketers say that Shaw’s game is a bit like former Indian opener Virender Sehwag.
