The bowler gets the edge from every other pacer because he is a lefty. As a left-arm fast bowler, Khaleel brings a whole new dimension to the bowling attack. India has tried him out in each of their limited-overs assignments since the Asia Cup and he has done fairly well.

Khaleel has bagged 11 wickets from eight matches. If he can crank up his pace and keep it around 140 kph consistently, he’ll make the job even harder for the selection committee.

Currently, he is playing against New Zealand XI for India A. In the first one-dayer, he picked up four wickets while giving away 43 runs, India A won that game by 92 runs. The Rajasthan player has constantly impressed with his innings in the domestic fold. He will surely be in the future plan for the BCCI’s central contract list.
