Kohli & co. played India’s first-ever pink ball Test match in last year against Bangladesh in November. Ever since the successful take-off of the first-ever day-night Test played between Australia and New Zealand, the game was always anticipated to be conducted in India. And while it seemed impossible due to the reluctance of few officials, it became a dream come true when Sourav Ganguly joined as the president of the BCCI.
India hosted the day-night game against Bangladesh in November last year at Eden Gardens (Kolkata). And while they whitewashed the visitors in the two-match Test series, the victorious pink-ball game became the highlight of the year. The host cricketers easily picked up on the dynamics brought in by the pink-ball and scalped the game by an innings and 46 runs.
