England were bruised by Ireland in 2011 World Cup: 
In the 2011 World Cup at Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore, a high scoring match took place. England batting first scored 327 with Kevin Pietersen scoring 59 runs and Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell scored 92 and 81 runs respectively.
Ireland in reply didn’t get a good start as they lost opener William Porterfield for a duck. However, Paul Sterling, Ed Joyce and Neil O’ Brien scored 32, 32 and 29 respectively.
However, the main innings was played by Kevin O’Brien who scored 63 balls 113 runs while Alex Cusack scored an important 47 runs which brought Ireland to the brink of victory. After both Cusack and Kevin’s dismissal, John Mooney played an important 33 run innings which helped Ireland to upset second giants in the two consecutive World Cup.
