The 24-year-old Deshpande first came in the limelight when he took a five-wicket haul in the quarter-finals of his debut season of the Ranji Trophy 2018-2019. The Mumbai lad has constantly led the team to victory.
He has 31 wickets from 20 T20 games, including best figures of four for 19. In recognition of his good work, Delhi Capitals (DC) roped him in at the auction for the IPL 2020.
Deshpande can easily clock 150-plus with the ball. The speedster is the upcoming talent but has failed to get the entry in the Indian team.
With the likes of Shardul Thakur, it has become a tough task for him to gain a place in the national side.
