Pakistan’s Semi-Final Scenario:
Pakistan had played worst cricket in the first half of the ICC World Cup 2019. In their World Cup opener, the Men in Green had lost their game by seven wickets after folding out at 105.
Moreover, they lost their games to Australia and India. Besides, they had registered a strong comeback by winning the last consecutive four games.
Interestingly, they were at par with New Zealand at 11 points, but Kiwis got better to make it as the fourth semi-finalist of the twelfth edition of the World Cup.
So much so, former Pakistan cricketers and fans had criticised the rule as Pakistan bowed out of the tournament with five wins in nine league stage matches.
