- Tom Moody:
Regarding the position of India’s head coach, Tom Moody isn’t an unfamiliar name. The former Australian all rounder has applied for the coveted job twice in the past, having slimly lost out to Greg Chappell in 2005 and Anil Kumble last year. That however, hasn’t deterred Moody from applying for the job and if fortune favors him this time, he could well get the position. As a coach, Moody needs no introduction, having coached the Sri Lankans till 2007 which included their mighty impressive campaign of the 2007 ICC World Cup in the Caribbean. Apart from that, Moody has also been the coach of the Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2013, and was at the helm of affairs when the side won the title in 2016. Known for his calm demeanor and sharp tactics, Moody’s appointment should bring Indian fans a lot of elation and excitement.
