Dinesh Karthik – 2.3 Crores
Gujarat Lions signed Dinesh Kartik, who was released from the Royal Challengers squad ahead of the auction, for a princely sum of 2.3 crores. The price didn’t seem exorbitant as the former India wicket-keeper brought top class wicket-keeping skills with aggressive batting abilities.
Karthik has had a great opportunity of playing for different franchises during his IPL career, beginning from 2008 as a part of Delhi Daredevils. Since then, he has played for Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians and RCB apart from re-entering the DD squad for a season in 2014.
