The year was 1999, the match was between Australia and Sri Lanka. Australian legend Steve Waugh and Pacer Jason Gillespie got seriously injured when both the players ran to catch a ball lifted by Mahela Jayawardene. As Steve Waugh and Jason Gillespie had their eyes on the ball, neither saw the other coming and they collided. While Steve Waugh broke his nose, Gillespie snapped the tibia in his right leg.
